Description: Voyager has parked inside a big purple cloud, trying to make repairs to the horribly damaged vessel. The crew is down to eight people, and they're trying their best to hold the ship together. Too bad they can no longer survive a minor meteor shower without setting Janeway on fire.
Meanwhile, Paris and Chakotay have hit it big, enjoying themselves immensely and feasting on things that exist only in a Dr. Seuss book. The captain of this vessel offers Chakotay a way to try to fix Voyager, the Krenim, and all the other problems. Unfortunately, Chakotay really sucks at it. He failed temporal studies at the academy but is okay in the eyes of Hitler to the tenth power, aka the captain. After all, Chakotay only nearly wiped out 8000 civilizations. Gee, I'd hate to see what a mistake was. We'd be lucky if we still had a universe.
Janeway decides that the only solution is to find allies and attack the time ship. Fortunately, Tom sabotages the ship from the inside, and Janeway does a kamikaze, destroying the ship, and setting everything aright. None of this ever happened, except for the poor viewer.
Comments: Janeway risks everything, everything, in the unsupported belief that destroying the time ship would set everything aright. There was no logical reason to believe that, none, but of course it had to work. I hate that. It's like playing Russian roullete and patting yourself on the back for surviving; even the sun shines on a dog's butt every once in a while.
Special Silvermoose Commentary: Considering none of this ever really happened, I considered this two hours of my life I'll never get back. Seriously though, I like how easily Chakotay came over to Adolf Hitler's side. Stroke Chakotay's ego just once and the prime directive goes right out the torpedo tube. I can see why Chakotay liked the captain though, after all, the captain of the time ship was as crazy, reckless, and irresponsible as Janeway, so he must have felt like he was home.
Rating: 6
Best Moment: The captain of the time ship ranting about how time holds a personal grudge against him. I love when psychos are in charge, they are so amusing.
Stupid Neelix Moment: His new ration cube drink, "the elixir of survival". Yech.
Seven of Nine Moment: Her response to drinking the elixir. "It is offensive."
Continuity Question: Just watch the episode. That's enough.
